Inspired by the principles of Hassan Fathy, Casa Cranc combines Mediterranean vernacular architecture with the clarity of rationalist forms. A central core wrapped in a ceramic lattice promotes cross ventilation and filters natural light, while large openings blur the boundaries between inside and out. Lime mortar, ceramics, reed and concrete complete a natural and serene architecture, conceived around common sense, human scale and a close relationship with the Mediterranean climate.
