Ameskar el Fokani is a small Berber village located in the mountainous region of Mgoun, in the High Atlas of Morocco. At an altitude of 2,200 meters, its approximately 500 inhabitants face rugged terrain and harsh climatic conditions.

Labor migration, informal livestock farming, and limited agriculture are the main sources of income for the community. These activities provide livelihood opportunities for the residents, enabling them to sustain their daily lives in this challenging environment.
